Overwatch speelt zich zestig jaar af in de toekomst van een gefictionaliseerde aarde, dertig jaar na de oplossing van de "Omnic Crisis".
Vóór de Omnic-crisis bevond de mensheid zich in een gouden eeuw van welvaart en technologische ontwikkeling.
Mensen ontwikkelden robots met kunstmatige intelligentie genaamd "Omnics", die wereldwijd werden geproduceerd in geautomatiseerde "omnium" -faciliteiten en werden gebruikt om economische gelijkheid te bereiken, en werden behandeld als op zichzelf staande mensen.
De Omnic-crisis begon toen de omniums een reeks dodelijke, vijandige robots begonnen te produceren, die zich tegen de mensheid keerden.
De Verenigde Naties vormden snel Overwatch, een internationale taskforce om de omnische dreiging te bestrijden en de orde te herstellen.
Deze Pop bevat Baptiste, die een assortiment experimentele apparaten en wapens hanteert om bondgenoten in leven te houden en bedreigingen onder zware omstandigheden te elimineren.
Als door de strijd geharde gevechtsmedicus is hij net zo goed in staat levens te redden als de vijand uit te schakelen.

Overwatch is set sixty years into the future of a fictionalized Earth, thirty years after the resolution of the "Omnic Crisis". Prior to the Omnic Crisis, humanity had been in a golden age of prosperity and technology development. Humans developed robots with artificial intelligence called "Omnics", which were produced worldwide in automated "omnium" facilities and put to use to achieve economic equality, and began to be treated as people in their own right. The Omnic Crisis began when the omniums started producing a series of lethal, hostile robots, which turned against humankind. The United Nations quickly formed Overwatch, an international task force to combat the omnic threat and restore order.
This Pop features Baptiste, who wields an assortment of experimental devices and weaponry to keep allies alive and eliminate threats under fierce conditions. A battle-hardened combat medic, he is just as capable of saving lives as he is taking out the enemy.
